I am originally from Japan and came to the U.S. to pursue my interests in second language acquisition. My research interests include the analysis of gestures and second language development, classroom interaction, and interaction between linguistic and non-linguistic (e.g. music) abilities. When I am not researching, teaching, or taking care of our little Texan, I enjoy photography, yoga, and baking.
